Florian is curator of 2021's “Unfolding the technic” for the international bi-annual Design Saint-Etienne exhibition. “Unfolding the technic” is an exhibition of objects, clothing and accessories recently produced by 35 French companies. This third edition focuses on objects related to the human body with an interest in textile products.
The Corona pandemic allowed us to see our flaws with too much off-site manufacturing, and to imagine refocusing our productions locally for a better ecological and economic assessment. Today, the design teams are looking to anticipate changes. Those who work on the user experience, have integrated the attitudes of new generations who want to consume less and better. Energy-consuming products, during their life cycle, have been redesigned. How do designers participate in these bifurcation methods?
We will focus on two case studies: SALOMON leader in Snowsports facing the world global warming and MICHELIN leader in tire manufacturing needing to set a cleaner vision for its future.
